So I have gone running and I have gone to the Georgia Tech/Duke game. Both were decent. Mile 1 of the run really sucked. I was going slowly and my feet were shuffling. But I had no side pain and I could breathe pretty deeply. My side still hurts, but it wasn't hindered by the running. Anyway I finished mile 1 at 15:22. Mile 2 was better. I started running the straits faster. It was fartlek time. Well not really. I was wearing a pair of D's shorts. They had no drawstring, so they either fell from my waist to my hips or rode up and I got chub rub. So the straits took my mind off of it.

I had told D that I was going to run 2.5 miles, but in lap 6, I questioned this. WTF? I have a 5K in 2 weeks, and perhaps I should be able to run 3 miles. So when he passed me again in lap 7, I told him I was doing 12. He said ok. He wasn't happy to be out there as his iPod was dead. I have no clue where mine is so I've been running without mine for a few months. I came in at mile 2 at 29:21 (13:59).
Mile 3 I continued my fartleks. I thought about the game and if A was going to bring carrots. I decided she probably wouldn't since no one told her to. I was right. I heard D coming behind me on lap 10, so I sprinted. I shuffled/sprinted the last 2 laps. I came in at 43:53 (14:32). Then D and I did our post walk.

Got home and showered and got ready for the game. Ran to the ATM and to get beer. Met up with Dave at the rib shack and got ribs and a pitcher. Sat there until 10:45 and then walked over to the fraternity and ate our ribs. Then A and J came and we all went to the stadium and watched a rather boring game. Tech seemed lethargic first half. Second half they took control of the game, but it took long enough. Anyway it was a shutout (27-0). After the game, we didn't hang around. I realize why we usually do...traffic. So that took a few minutes, and D and I got home at 4. We've been watching football since.

Tomorrow...bike!
